Preston Kight

Benjamin Kight, DO is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a distinguished background in military and civilian healthcare. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Citadel, graduating Cum Laude and was a member of the Track and Field Team. He continued his education at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Kight completed his Family Medicine Residency at Martin Army Community Hospital where he was also chief resident. His dedication to serving others led him to a career in the U.S. Army, where he practiced full-scope inpatient and outpatient medicine. His training and early focus includes obstetrics and women's health, pediatric medicine (including newborns), and sports medicine. A Sumter native, Dr. Kight is excited to be back in South Carolina. He is looking forward to returning to the Lowcountry where much of his childhood revolved around Edisto Beach and rural Colleton County. Beyond medicine, Dr. Kight enjoys time with his wife and their four sons along with fishing in the shallow coast marshes.
