Please try to anticipate your refill needs so that they can be taken care of during your office visit. Generally, your doctor will give you enough refills to last until your next visit.
If you need to call for a prescription refill, as a general rule we will be happy to call in enough medication needs until your next scheduled appointment. If you notify us during the morning hours, we will make sure that your prescription is called in the same day. Otherwise, we request that you allow 24 hours for the medication to be called in to your pharmacy. If you have not been seen for some time or missed your follow up appointment, re-evaluation may be indicated rather than a refill.
Please do not request medication prescriptions after hours or weekends as
your records are not available for the Doctor on call. In addition, narcotic pain medications and tranquilizers will not be called in by the on call Doctor. These requests are best addressed during regular office hours.
